Bank of Baroda has named Chayani Manoj Sundar as its new CFO, effective from June 21, 2024. Sundar, a Chartered Accountant and ICWA with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, brings nearly two decades of experience within the bank, specialising in Financial and Credit Operations.
The appointment follows the resignation of Ian Gerard Desouza, who stepped down as CFO to pursue opportunities outside the bank. Bank of Baroda, one of India’s largest banks, operates a robust domestic network comprising 8,243 branches and 11,033 ATMs and Cash Recyclers. Additionally, it maintains a significant international presence with 91 offices across 17 countries. As of March 31, 2024, the Government of India holds a 63.97 per cent stake in the bank.
