Christoffer Malmer Named CFO Of SEB
Christoffer Malmer, currently Head of SEB Embedded, has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will join SEB’s Group Executive Committee.
Malmer presently leads SEB Embedded, a business unit that integrates financial services into non-financial products. Prior to this, he headed SEBx, a unit dedicated to exploring new technologies and business models. He has also served as Co-Head of SEB’s Corporate & Private Customers Division and led the Wealth Management Division. Malmer was previously a member of the Group Executive Committee from 2014 to 2018.
Before joining SEB, Malmer worked in equity research at Goldman Sachs in London from 2000 to 2009, where he became Managing Director and Head of European Financials Research in 2007.
Christoffer Malmer will assume his new role on October 1, 2024, succeeding Masih Yazdi, who announced his departure on September 19, 2024.
