Delhi’s GST Collection Down Over 6%

Amid the sales and discounts during the festive season, the GST collection in the third quarter (October-December) is likely to increase in the upcoming months

Amid the ongoing festival season, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection in Delhi decreased by over 6 per cent in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2022-23.  

However, the collective GST collection for the initial two quarters was 28 per cent higher than the previous year, indicating an economic recovery in the national capital. 

Amid the sales and discounts during the festive season, the GST collection in the third quarter (October-December) is likely to increase in the upcoming months. 

In the first quarter (April-June), the GST collection was Rs 14,297 crore, previously it stood at Rs 13,417 crore in July-September.  

As per the official data, the government collected Rs 5,871 crore in April, Rs 4,113 crore in May, Rs 4,313 crore in June, Rs 4,327 core in July, Rs. 4,349 crore in August and Rs 4,741 crore in September.
