Flutterwave CFO Oneal Bhambani Resigns Amid IPO Plan

Bhambani has previously monitored the Kabbage integration within American Express and joined the company in May 2022

Oneal Bhambani, the chief financial officer of Flutterwave resigned in less than two years after joining the payments company. Flutterwave has been the largest payment startup in Africa.

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. Thank you to Flutterwave for a seat on its journey to scale payments across Africa. I wish everyone at Flutterwave the best and I will be rooting for you. Last week, I made the difficult decision to end my tenure at the company,” he stated on social media.

Although, he did not mention any future plans or joining another company. “As for what is next, I am looking forward to taking a breath to reconnect with old friends and colleagues. I will be in India for the rest of November for Diwali and hope to spend time with folks in Mumbai – please message me if you are around to catch up and talk shop,” Bhambani added.

Founded in 2016 and has its headquarters in both Nigeria and San Francisco, the payments and remittances company, Flutterwave has expanded to rank among the largest start-ups in Africa, valued at USD 3 billion by 2022.
