Fred Cromer appointed Spirit Airlines CFO, effective July 8. Former Xwing CEO and Bombardier executive to collaborate with interim CFO for smooth transition
Spirit Airlines has named Fred Cromer as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective July 8th, marking a significant addition to the low-cost carrier’s leadership team. Cromer, who most recently served as CEO of aviation technology company Xwing, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Prior to his tenure at Xwing, he held notable positions at Bombardier Commercial Aircraft from 2015 to 2020.
Spirit Airlines emphasised the importance of a smooth transition by announcing Cromer’s collaboration with Brian McMenamy, the current temporary CFO who will continue to play a key role in senior finance operations. This strategic move aims to ensure continuity and effective financial stewardship as Cromer assumes his responsibilities.
Cromer’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for Spirit Airlines as the company navigates through challenges and opportunities in the aviation sector. His leadership is expected to bolster the airline’s financial strategies and operational efficiencies, contributing to its ongoing growth and resilience in a competitive market landscape.
