GCPL Promotes Ashwin Moorthy To Global Head Of Category Direction And Innovation
Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) has promoted Ashwin Moorthy to the role of Global Head of Category Direction and Innovation.
In addition to his new responsibilities, Moorthy will continue to oversee his current role as Head of Marketing. He has also been inducted into GCPL’s Global Management Committee, becoming part of the senior leadership team.
Moorthy’s career began at Mindshare as a media planner, followed by his tenure at Unilever. At GCPL, he previously led the Indian Soaps & Aircare business as Category Head, managing category direction, innovation and equity for global categories across GCPL’s markets. He also oversees the India marketing function, P&L performance and business delivery.
During his time at Unilever, Moorthy served as Brand Manager for Taj Mahal and Lipton Tea, where he managed mix deployment, P&L, media planning, promotions, pricing strategy, in-market activations and distribution for the Indian tea business.
