Grammarly Appoints Navam Welihinda As CFO And Mark Schaaf As CTO
Grammarly has appointed Navam Welihinda as Chief Financial Officer and Mark Schaaf as Chief Technology Officer, both bringing IPO experience to enhance the company’s leadership and drive AI innovation.
Grammarly, a leading provider of AI-powered writing assistance software, has named Navam Welihinda as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Welihinda, who previously held the CFO role at HashiCorp, where he spearheaded the company’s 2021 IPO, takes over from Stu West, now serving as an advisor to the company.
In addition, Grammarly has appointed Mark Schaaf as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Schaaf, formerly CTO at Instacart, played a pivotal role in preparing the company for its 2023 IPO by building its technical infrastructure. In his new role, Schaaf will lead Grammarly’s global engineering team and drive the development of new AI-powered features, succeeding Joe Xavier, who also transitions into an advisory role.
