HSBC May Appoint Its First Female CFO In 159 Years
HSBC Holdings Plc is considering appointing Pam Kaur, its chief risk and compliance officer, as its first-ever female chief financial officer in the bank’s 159-year history.
Kaur is a top candidate for the role, which became available when Georges Elhedery took over as CEO on September 2. Other possible contenders include Greg Guyett, head of global banking and markets, Willard McLane, group head of strategy and corporate development, and Kavita Mahtani, CFO for HSBC’s Europe and Western Markets. No final decision has been made yet.
