Karishma Gupta has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Delightful Gourmet Private, the parent company of Licious. This move comes as Licious focuses on achieving profitable growth through its omnichannel strategy.
The Bengaluru-based company aims to launch over 500 Licious stores across 20 cities within the next five years, targeting profitability by the end of this fiscal year. Their strategy emphasises sustainable growth, profitability, governance and implementing SOPs for the pre-IPO phase.
Gupta is a 39-year-old accountant with 18 plus years of finance experience. She’s skilled in areas like business partnerships, finance planning, audits and management. At Jubilant Foodworks, she led efforts to expand and improve various brands and markets.
Previously, Gupta held positions at Diageo, GSK Consumer Healthcare and ITC. Notably, she stands as one of India’s youngest female CFOs, a distinction shared by only 50 individuals among the 2,328 companies listed on the NSE.
