Paytm Money: Rakesh Singh Replaces Varun Sridhar As CEO Of One97 Communications
Varun Sridhar, former head of Paytm Money, will shift to the CEO of Paytm Services, focused on the distribution of mutual funds and wealth management products
Rakesh Singh has been appointed as the new CEO of Paytm Money, the wholly-owned subsidiary of One97 Communications, succeeding Varun Sridhar, who stepped down from the position.
Sridhar, formerly leading Paytm Money, will now assume the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Paytm Services, with a focus on distributing mutual funds and wealth management products.
Sridhar has been Paytm Money’s CEO since 2020. Under his guidance, the company became profitable in 2023, reporting a net profit of Rs 42 crore and nearly doubling its revenue to Rs 131 crore.
