Sanjay Singhal, Former ITC COO, Appointed CEO Of Wagh Bakri Tea Group

Sanjay Singhal, former Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ITC, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Wagh Bakri Tea Group. At ITC, Singhal was instrumental in driving the company’s dairy and beverages sector.

Singhal’s career began at Lakme Lever, and he has held significant positions at Hindustan Unilever, Yum! Restaurants International, GE Capital, Aditya Birla Capital, and Dabur India. At Aditya Birla Group, he served as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) for Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund, where he led marketing and public relations. At Dabur India, as the head of marketing for the Foods division, he managed a substantial portfolio, including brands like Real, Hajmola, and Honey, with P&L responsibility for a business worth approximately Rs 2,000 Crore (USD 320 million).

In addition to his marketing prowess, Singhal brings extensive experience in process improvements, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and regulatory affairs. Before his tenure at Dabur, he also played a key role in managing the skincare business at the company.
