Early Pay To Govt Employees During Festive Month: Bihar Govt

With the arrival of festive season, comes a lot of additional expenses. Many a times people are unable to manage all the expenditures, both of ordinary well as extra-ordinary nature in their fixed monthly income.

While Diwali will fall on 24 October, in a few days after that will follow Chhath, a festival which is marked by three days of austerities. October started with some of the major festivals such Navratri or Durga Puja, and Dussehra.

Celebrations are on full swing along with additional expenses. Such expenditures include buying things for home, gifts for friends and family, and expenses on get-togethers.

Finance Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary said that considering the celebrations and expenditures, the Bihar government announces the early remittance of salary than its usual time for October in view of the upcoming festivities.

The Bihar government employees will be getting their salary earlier than its usual remittance for October 2022. The decision was taken by the department in consultation with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, said the minister.

“The salary payment will begin on 20 October,” he informed as per a media agency. “In the past couple of years festivities subdued due to Covid-19 pandemic. This year, the people are looking forward to celebrate festivals with gusto. The government has decided to pay this month’s salary early, as a small help to them,” Chaudhary added.
