Airtel Rolls Out 5G Plus, No SIM-Change Required

Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur and customers from Varanasi will be able to enjoy the Airtel 5G Plus services in a phased manner.

Bharti Airtel launched 5G plus services in eight different cities on 6 October. It will all users to use 5G services without changing SIM card as the existing Airtel 4G SIM is now 5G-enabled.

The company said that Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur and customers from Varanasi will be able to enjoy the Airtel 5G Plus services in a phased manner. The company continues to construct its network and complete the roll out.

The speed of network will be between 20 to 30 times higher speeds than the current speed, promises the company. It will be coupled with brilliant voice experience and super-fast call connect too.

Customers having 5G smartphones will enjoy the high-speed Airtel 5G Plus on their existing data plans until the new roll-out is more widespread.

Managing Director and CEO, Bharti Airtel, Gopal Vittal said, “The solution will work on any 5G handset and the existing SIM in customers handset. Our zeal on customer’s experience is now enhanced with a 5G solution that is eco-friendly.”

Airtel 5G Plus runs on a technology with widest acceptance in the world and with the most developed ecosystem.

This system will ensure that all 5G smartphones in India seamlessly work on the Airtel network with better experience.

Allowing superfast access to high-definition video streaming, gaming, multiple chatting, instant uploading of photos and Airtel 5G Plus will have more benefits.

In the last week, Bharti Airtel showcased a 5G-connected ambulance efficient enough to transform primary health care in emergency situations. Also, showed smart farming solutions to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the 5G official launch in the country.
