ICON Appoints Nigel Clerkin As New Chief Financial Officer
ICON plc, a global leader in healthcare intelligence and clinical research, has named Nigel Clerkin as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Nigel brings a wealth of experience to the role, having begun his career at KPMG before spending 15 years at Elan Corporation, where he served as group CFO from 2011 to 2014. He then took on CFO roles at ConvaTec, a global medical technologies firm and UDG Healthcare, where he led significant transformation initiatives and drove strong financial performance across various business segments. Most recently, Nigel served as CFO at LetsGetChecked, a global provider of at-home healthcare services.
With a proven track record in the life sciences and healthcare sectors, Nigel has consistently driven financial growth and strategic development in public companies, with expertise in M&A and financial systems enhancement.
Nigel holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Accounting from Queen’s University Belfast. He is also a qualified chartered accountant and a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
