After firing nearly half workforce of the company on 5 November, the Elon Musk’s 44 billion dollar acquisition is now asking many discharged employees to return.

According to a media report few among those asked to return are those who were laid off by mistake. Others who were discharged, made the management realise that their work and experience may be necessary in order to design new features.

After Musk acquired Twitter, nearly 3,700 people got laid off via email in order to save cost, which closed in late October. Many employees after losing their access to company-wide systems such as email and Slack, understood that they lost their job. The requests for employees to join back portrays how rushed and chaotic the process was.

Musk had posted a tweet on 5 November, “Regarding Twitter’s reduction in force, unfortunately there is no choice when the company is losing over $4M/day,”

Giving new targets to those who remained at the company, Musk is pushing in order to move quickly in developing new features. Also, pictures sufficed over internet of employees having slept at the office to meet new deadlines.

Also, during last week, Twitter had rolled out its new Twitter Blue subscription plan which offered a verification check mark for users at 8 dollar per month. The company will be launching many other features soon such as half the ads, being able to post longer videos and getting priority ranking in replies, mentions, searches and many more.
