Uber Appoints Prashanth Mahendra Rajah as CFO
Uber Technologies appointed Prashanth Mahendra-Rajah as new Chief Financial Officer effective from 13 November 2023.
Mahendra-Rajah will start working for San Francisco-based Uber on November 13 and will replace Nelson Chai, who announced plans to quit the position in August after serving the company for approximately five years.
At the moment, Mahendra-Rajah serves as Analogue Devices’ (ADI) chief financial officer where he supervised the USD 21 billion acquisition of rival Maxim Integrated Products at semiconductor. He served as the chief financial officer of WABCO Holdings before joining ADI. He has also held division CFO and other finance leadership positions at Applied Materials, Visa, and United Technologies.
“Prashanth is an incredibly skilled and dynamic finance executive, with decades of experience across a variety of complex industries. I’m confident he’ll be able to help us deliver even more innovation and efficiency as we continue this next phase of profitable growth,” said Dara Khosrowshahi, CEO, Uber Technologies.
Compared to a nearly 29 per cent increase in the first quarter, the company’s second-quarter sales growth was less than predicted at 14 per cent.
