Yotta Infra To Invest Rs 39,000 Cr In UP In 5-7 Year

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Yotta Infrastructure, Sunil Gupta said that the cost of each data centre will be Rs 6,500 crore. The investment committed is for six data centres. The construction of first building of the campus has already been completed. The work for two other buildings has been started which will be completed in another 12-15 months

Yotta Infrastructure, a data centre company, is planning to invest Rs 39,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh in coming five to seven years, informed a company official said on 31 October.

A commitment of investment has been made by the Hiranandani Group firm has been made under a memorandum of agreement signed with the Utter Pradesh government.

Co-founder and Chairman, Yotta Infrastructure, Darshan Hiranandani informed the reporters that the allocation of investments will be for constructing the data center campus, procuring IT equipment and other hardware by Yotta and its customers.

Hirandani, at the launch event of Yotta D1 data centre, said that an investment of Rs 39,000 crore in and around this campus will be witnessed. The construction of first building of the campus has already been completed. The work for two other buildings has been started which will be completed in another 12-15 months. The plan is to put up one building in every eighteenth month.

Investment made for Yotta D1 forms part of the committed investment.

Nearly with an investment Rs 1,500 crore the company has set-up hyperscale data center, Yotta D1, at its Greater Noida Data Center Park. Adding to that, the foundation stone laying ceremony was also performed at the time of the launch, for the upcoming two data center buildings i.e Yotta D2 and D3.

Yotta D1 will foresee an additional investment of Rs 5,000 crores in IT equipment by the company. It will probably have a capacity to house 5,000 racks spread over seven server floors and will offers fail-safe, 48-hour power backup at its optimum load capacity.

Having spread across 20 acres, the Yotta Greater Noida Data Center Park will offer a total capacity of 30,000 racks with four dedicated fiber paths and an IT power capacity of 160 megawatt.
