Abhinav Gupta, submitted his resignation as chief financial officer (CFO) and senior executive employees, citing personal reasons, Trident stated.Gupta was let go from his position effective after hours on September 3, 2022.
Meanwhile, Avneesh Barua, who now works in the firm’s finance and accounting department, will serve as the company’s acting chief financial officer while the company conducts its search for the new CFO.
Gupta has completed his B.E. from VNIT Nagpur and his MBA from IIT Delhi. Abhinav Gupta has also worked at SBI Capital Markets Limited in addition to Trident Limited.
Trident, one of India’s leading companies in the home textile industry, is a vertically integrated textile (yarn, bath & bed linen) and paper (wheat straw-based) business.
Despite a 13.3 percent increase in net sales to Rs 1,679.90 crore in Q1 FY23 over Q1 FY22, the company’s consolidated net profit fell 37.5 percent to Rs 129.35 crore. At present Trident’s stock increased 3.14 percent and is trading at Rs. 41 on the BSE.
