ZEE CFO Rohit Kumar Gupta Resigns

Rohit Kumar Gupta, the Chief Financial Officer of ZEE Entertainment Enterprises, has announced his resignation due to personal reasons. Mukund Galgali, a veteran of the Group with over 17 years of experience and currently leading the Commercial and Strategic Initiatives, will serve as the acting Chief Financial Officer.

In recent months, the company has experienced several high-profile resignations, including Rahul Johri, President of Business for South Asia; Nitin Mittal, President of Technology and Data and Punit Misra, President of Content and International Markets at ZEE, among others.

Previously, MD and CEO Punit Goenka outlined a strategic plan to enhance margins in the upcoming quarters, focusing on frugality, optimization, and a strong emphasis on high-quality content. During the earnings call for Q4 FY24 results, Goenka reiterated the importance of ‘frugality,’ emphasising the need to pivot the business towards a balanced cost structure to achieve sustained long-term growth.
