ED Head Sanjay Kumar Mishra Tenure Extended By One Year
The extension granted by the Cabinet Committee on Appointment (ACC) has approved Mishra’s extension for the tenure of one year from 18 November 2022 up to 18 November 2023
Enforcement Director Sanjay Kumar Mishra gets a one-year extension as the chief head, one day before his retirement on Thursday. This is his third extension as the ED chief.
The extension granted by the Cabinet Committee on Appointment (ACC) has approved Mishra’s extension for the tenure of one year from 18 November 2022 up to 18 November 2023.
Earlier, he served as director for two years. His tenure has been extended to three years here. He has also served in several key posts including in charge of foreign exchange.
He is a 1984-batch officer of the Indian Revenue Service (IRS).
The government had made an ordinance enabling the tenure of the chiefs of the ED and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) can be extended by up to three years after they have administered the post for the term of two years.
