The Central Bank of India and the Bank of Maharashtra (BoM), two public sector lenders, have received approval from the government to extend the terms of their managing directors, according to media reports.
It claimed that the appointments committee of the cabinet (ACC) has granted A S Rajeev, the MD and CEO of BoM, a six-month term extension until his superannuation.
Additionally, ACC has extended M V Rao’s tenure as the Central Bank of India’s MD and CEO through 31 July 2025. Rao became the MD and CEO of the Central Bank of India in 2021, while Rajeev was named MD and CEO of the Bank of Maharashtra in 2018.
