Royal Bank of Canada Fires CFO Over Undisclosed Relationship

Royal Bank of Canada fired Nadine Ahn, CFO, after investigating allegations of misconduct. The probe revealed Ahn had a close personal relationship with another employee, which she failed to disclose. This relationship resulted in the other employee receiving unfair advantages, including promotions and raises, in violation of the bank’s code of conduct. Both Ahn and the other employee were fired as a consequence.
Before being appointed CFO in September 2021, Ahn served as RBC’s head of investor relations.
