Ghost Kitchens India acquired Where’s the Food, a homegrown F&B tech products company, in an equity-swap deal. The acquisition will enable Ghost Kitchens to optimize the expertise of Harshendar Reddy, the founder of WTF, who will join as the CTO. In his new leadership capacity, Reddy will be spearheading the development of a proprietary B2B app for Ghost Kitchens that will facilitate the automation of various aspects of business operations and management. This will include on-boarding process, inventory management, finance reconciliations, operational intelligence, communications, and tracking sales growth. He will be responsible for developing and operating the entire Restaurants Management tech stack.
He also established Bharat Delivery, an Aggregator of all hyperlocal delivery services like dunzo, shadowfax, delhivery, Uber etc., and a term sheet from IndiaMart where he enabled 10k+ orders in just 6 months. Before that Harshendar founded Pitchers, a college-campus-based online food delivery platform. Harshendar Reddy holds an MBA from IIM Kozhikode and enjoys work experience spanning close to a decade. From being a software engineer at Capgemini to pursuing his passion and shaping his venture, the journey has been full of numerous milestones.
Addressing the acquisition, Karan Tanna, Founder, and CEO of Ghost Kitchens India said,” I have known and interacted with Harshendar for the last 4 years. He understands the food delivery space very well and has developed interesting products to help restaurants optimize their rankings on aggregators by operational excellence. The products are first in the market and will give tangible value to our partners to increase their revenue & profits. We are building the only product in the restaurant tech industry that solves both operational gaps and demand generation for restaurants.”
Speaking at the event, Harshendar Reddy said, “For the last 4 years, we have built countless food tech products for various food delivery companies. Before founding WTF, I had formed Bharat delivery, an aggregator of hyper-local delivery providers, and also created a social commerce app centered on food ordering patterns, called ITA. With the tech that we aim to build at Ghost Kitchens, we will not only take this knowledge to thousands of restaurants but also provide them with the tools necessary for improving user experience with better control of their operations.”
