IndiGo’s Rahul Bhatia & Ex Tech Mahindra CEO CP Gurnani Collaborate On AI Venture
The venture, named ‘AIonOS,’ will provide targeted AI services, data engineering and a data harmonisation platform
Rahul Bhatia, Group Managing Director of IndiGo’s parent firm InterGlobe Enterprises, has teamed up with former Tech Mahindra CEO, CP Gurnani to launch an artificial intelligence (AI) venture.
Unveiled on 23 April, the venture, named ‘AIonOS,’ will provide targeted AI services, data engineering, and a data harmonisation platform. The mission of AIonOS is to empower businesses with advanced AI solutions that not only streamline workflows but also elevate customer experience. AIonOS will redefine the way businesses operate in the digital age. Its products & services serving as a link between a company’s data, its analytical capabilities and operational execution. AIonOS will automate and optimise decision making, orchestrate workflows, drive efficiency, enhance customer experiences and identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs and maximize productivity.
The new business venture will onboard companies onto its IntelliOS platform, that brings AI into every decision-making process & delivers tangible business benefits. AIonOS will connect with the enterprise’s existing data sources, that allows it to anchor the knowledge base on actual business reality and minimises the risk of information gaps. In addition, it will seamlessly integrate this knowledge to ensure that AI complements and enhances the existing business logic & computational models. AIonOS will implement these while being committed to driving actions that deliver tangible business results by safely synchronising these decisions back to the enterprise’s operational systems.
Bhatia emphasised their vision to integrate AI across various industries.
AIonOS, led by Executive Vice-Chairman, Gurnani, is structured around four key business lines, each led by a dedicated leader.
Gurnani, also chairman of Assago Group, noted that InterGlobe is the majority shareholder of the venture. He highlighted the robust funding and forthcoming announcements for the next year.
“I am truly excited and elated at this partnership and the possibilities ahead. I have always aspired to be an entrepreneur and thanks to Rahul Bhatia and InterGlobe, I have found a likeminded ally. Together we hope to create products and platforms that challenge the status quo,” Gurnani shared on social media.
Headquartered in Singapore, AIonOS has global business operations, including in North America, India, the Middle East, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific. Key delivery and tech centers will be in NCR, Chennai, and Hyderabad, with operational centers already established in NCR.
Gurnani told CNBC that companies deliver products and services on a global scale, yet clients often rely on platforms and products that are not developed in India. They ponder why a software-as-a-service (SaaS) venture targeting the global market hasn’t been created from India. While such ventures exist, their research reveals a gap in this area. It became evident that the travel, transformation, logistics and hospitality (TTLH) sector could greatly benefit from innovative intervention.
Gurnani stressed the importance of proximity to customers, with plans to open offices in Europe and North America over the next three months.
