Twitter Shuts Offices Amid Mass Resignation

Hundreds of employees decided to resign, which led to the mass exodus of employees and only a fraction of people chose to stay

Twitter offices have been shut down temporarily and the badge access of the employees has also been disabled on Thursday. The move comes out after the employees were given an ultimatum to either resign or become hardcore.

Hundreds of employees decided to resign, which led to the mass exodus of employees and only a fraction of people chose to stay.

The office buildings will remain closed till Monday (21 November). The step has been taken by Musk to prevent the mass exodus, as per the report by Platformer’s Zoe Schiffer.

Schiffer claimed in a tweet that Twitter is still to figure out which employees they need to suspend access for. No further details were given why the offices were being closed immediately.

#RIPTwitter, #TwitterDown were trending on the platform after the employees opted to leave instead of being ‘hardcore’.

The users detected that the Twitter app has begun to slow down on Thursday evening. The public version of the app was under threat of crashing down during the night. Website DownDetector noted a substantial rise in issues reported by users.
