Indian IT Sector Contributes $198 Billion To US Economy

The Indian IT sector made an exceptional contribution of USD 198 billion to the US economy in 2021 by hiring 2,07,000 Americans by providing them an average revenue of USD 106,360

The Indian IT sector made an exceptional contribution of USD 198 billion to the US economy in 2021 by hiring 2,07,000 Americans by providing them an average  revenue of USD 106,360. Last year, the IT sector generated an enormous amount of USD 103 billion. It also marked a growth of 22 per cent in employment since 2017. 

Indian technology has played a crucial role in the US by developing talent hunts outside the traditional tech hubs. Most of the Indian tech firms have their headquarters in the US and they work with 75 per cent of the fortune 500 companies. 

A report by Nasscom titled, ‘Impact of Indian Technology companies on the US Economy’ and ‘Building the current and future US workforce: role of the Indian technology industry in US states that Indian IT sector investments in the sector have been substantial by providing employment in US and supporting them to build the future generations.
