Wipro COO Amit Choudhary Steps Down
Wipro, an Indian IT services firm, has announced that its chief operating officer (COO) Amit Choudhary has stepped down, effective immediately, to pursue opportunities outside the company
Choudhary is the second major resignation from Wipro after Anis Chenchah, the company’s Asia Pacific, India, Middle East and Africa (APMEA) president, stepped down on May 10. The two major resignations come after previous CEO Thierry Delaporte resigned on April 6. Interestingly, Choudhary, Chenchah, and Delaporte have all worked for Capgemini, which is headquartered in France.
Sanjeev Jain will take over for Choudhary, who will leave on May 31 and will be working in Bengaluru, effective immediately.
